Claude Code 2.1.293 ships Claude Haiku 5.5 (`claude-haiku-5-5`) as the default Haiku model on the Anthropic API, with a 1M token context and pricing of $0.10/$0.50 per Mtok ($0.50/$2.50 above 100K). The release also adds `agentType` to the subagentStatusLine payload, an `isDeferred` flag on `$.tool.register` so mods can expose a tool schema up front instead of behind tool search, and fixes a memory leak in HTTP MCP connections plus many agent/subagent and session bugs.
